SEC Additional Guidance - L-09-010
Updated
posted 1/29/2010

In L-09-010, which became effective January 1, 2010, the Commission interpreted the phrase “for the purpose of lobbying” set forth in the compensation reporting provisions of the Lobbying Law.

Since the issuance of that formal advisory opinion, questions have been raised concerning the opinion’s meaning and scope.

Additional guidance regarding that opinion is now available here. Please e-mail any additional comments and questions regarding the opinion to ethics.commission@doa.nc.gov
